Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the first woman and the first Jewish person to lie in state at the U.S. Capitol. As I see our values, our rights and our democracy being desecrated each day, I find some comfort in knowing this, particularly the fact that she was Jewish.
I’m finding it difficult to put my thoughts into words, but this is my train of thought…I think of Hilter and the atrocities he inflicted on the Jewish people. And then I think of our country that so proudly respects this Jewish woman for her profound contributions to this country and its citizens.
There is hope for this country. Let’s never forget that…
