The Inauguration Speech…

His inauguration speech was 16 minutes long, the shortest since 1977. It may have been a short speech, but he did have some rather profound and inspiring thoughts which we all know were pure bullshit. With all due respect to our farmers out there, I don’t think there’s one that can shovel as much shit in 16 minutes.

I took some excerpts from his speech so I could compare his words to today’s reality.  Not his reality, the real reality. You know, the kind you can actually see and touch.

So here goes, first his words, then mine…

“What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people”

You left out the part where you meant the people are “you”.

“January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.”

The use of the word “ruler” is disturbing. It just doesn’t sit right. You could call us your employer as we did hire you and we do pay your salary. You could simply call us citizens which, in this country, means government is by the people and for the people. I think Freud would agree that the use of the word ruler is more how you perceive yourself.

“We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity.”

When you speak, we cringe. When you debate, you lie. When you pursue solidarity, it’s through hate groups that do not value our way of life or life itself. You are the perfect example of hypocrisy and a danger to our democracy.

“There should be no fear – we are protected, and we will always be protected.”

Protected from what or from who? Turns out we need to be protected from you.

“This American carnage stops right here and stops right now”

The definition of “carnage” is the killing of a large number of people. Would 200,000 dead US citizens be considered carnage? The carnage began in early February, about 7-1/2 months ago, so that’s an average of about 2,600 people each month, 880 each week and 37 each day. Just so we can grasp the concept, when we sit down for dinner and finish eating an hour later 37 more people are dead. Every day. Dead because you are void of compassion. Dead because you are incompetent. Dead because you don’t value life. Dead because you really don’t care about anyone but yourself.
